Valentine's Day at Tinderbox Kitchen

The point is, they'll love it.

Love is in the air at Tinderbox Kitchen this Valentine's Day. Love in the form of an incredible four course offering from Chef Mike Schmitz. Schmitz is known for creatively re-expressing classic American Fare, and here proceeds without reservation, to do everything possible to delight your senses in the most sensual way. The cocktail pairings were lovingly selected by Foodist Mixologist Finalist Nick Williams who serves as the Chief Mixologist for all THAT Place Projects restaurants along with front of the house Queen Bee Maura, who collaborated with Williams on all the wine selections. Most notably the Sutcliffe wines. Sutcliffe is in partnership with THAT Place Projects producing its own labeled wines along with other varieties passionately produced by winemaker John Sutcliffe. Maura promises that if you choose to spend your evening with us, she will make it the most memorable Valentine's ever. And if you can't make it for some horrible reason, a THAT Place Projects gift card is a way better gift than most anything else.

About THAT Place Projects

THAT Place Projects is a restaurant group and a land development company that specializes in place-making. More than just adapting old buildings and turning them into great restaurants, THAT Place Projects makes investments in communities. We were the first to invest in the Southside of Downtown Flagstaff, beginning in 2009 with the Tinderbox Kitchen. Our name is derived from the initials our first three concepts: Tourist Home, Annex Cocktail Lounge and Tinderbox Kitchen and is a twist on the oft heard expression "I love that place," "what was the name of that place?" that define great places. We also are launching new concepts Corn and Four and The District in 2020.

WHY WE EXIST

We exist to serve a need for genuine hospitality and commitment to consistent, excellent quality food. We not only create places you love, we create experiences you will remember. It's not lost on us that you make some of your most cherished memories with us and we honor that. For more, visit www.thatplaceprojects.com

About Tinderbox Kitchen

Opened in 2009, Tinderbox Restaurant was the first elevated-cuisine restaurant on the south side of downtown Flagstaff. Owner Kevin Heinonen has received multiple accolades for his renovation of Tinderbox and companion restaurant concepts The Annex Cocktail Lounge and Tourist Home. Together, all three concepts were the first to bring a sense of “specialness” to the Southside. Chef Schmitz serves up well-executed spins on reimagined American fare.

The wine selection mirrors the Tinderbox menu; ever-changing. The bottle list is global with full renditions of varietals selected to match that evening’s menu. The by-the-glass list is a special selection of wines made along with their Companion Sutcliffe Vineyard in McElmo Canyon, Colo. The wines are selected and even specifically blended to add and complement each dish. “Tinderbox Kitchen is at the epicenter of the Flagstaff culinary awakening.” —New York Magazine. “Best Restaurants in Flagstaff,” Arizona Republic. Tinderbox is located at 34 S. San Francisco Street in downtown Flagstaff. Dinner is served Sunday thru Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5 p.m to 10 p.m
